Stay here for the breakfasts (professional European baker!) and the fireflies. Well, then there’s the comfy beds with great sheets; quiet, spacious rooms; private patio with table, chairs, bbq & its lovely view of the duck pond and bustling purple martin community. Even outside of bird migration season, there is plenty of lovely birdsong & sightings.
Loads of hot water and plush white towels and a more than adequate kitchenette.
Comfy living room with tv & Netflix if you need it.
Best place to stay in the Leamington area for Point Pelee National Park & the ferry to Pelee Island especially during fresh fruit season.
Book it while you can; you won’t regret it.
I stayed in this lovely place with my parents enroute to a family wedding and enjoyed the spacious layout for the 3 of us and the pastoral outdoor patio.
I brought a big appetite with me but the magnificent breakfasts even provided lunch or snacks too. I had great night’s sleeps in the comfy, real bed, not a sofa bed.
It was a lovely place to come back to firefly displays after hiking and exploring Pelee Island and Pelee National Park. We took the ferry to Pelee Island and rented a golf cart there from Pelee Island Adventures to get around & stopped at fruit stands for fresh seasonal fruit on the way back.
So good.
I was looking for a convenient basecamp for our trip to the Leamington area and Duck Pond is just a short drive to Point Pelee National Park and the ferry to Pelee Island.
This B&B has a lot more going for it than just a good location. The rooms are spacious and quiet with a private patio overlooking a lively Purple Martin community and fireflies at night. The beds are comfortable with good sheets.
The food is amazing! The hosts have a background in European baking and provide tasty breakfasts that are not the usual fare.
The hosts are friendly but not obtrusive and provide a wealth of insider tips when asked. We will definitely return to Duck Pond when we’re back in the area.
I am a repeat guest of the Duck Pond B&B. It’s a great location, a comfortable, private set up with its own little patio overlooking the pond and the Purple Martins. The breakfasts and snacks are incredible…one of the big reasons I return! You will be happy you booked your stay here.
What a great place, and what fine hosts! The accommodations were clean and comfortable (especially the bed, pillows, and linens), the hosts welcoming and informative, and the location ideal for a trip into PPNP. A special mention as well to the delicious breakfasts and the hosts’ unwavering devotion to a variety of avian species, especially the humble but fascinating Purple Martin!
