  Great place to wander and enjoy the peace and quiet. Nice and flat for walking. Well signposted. I imagine great in the spring and summer. We will return then.

  Recommended outing, which in addition to being educational and interesting, is also free. Visit time and again to see birds in their seasons.

  A wonderful wetland Nature reserve. Star birds include Green Sandpiper, Kingfisher, Water Rail, Bittern, Hobby, Wigeon, Lapwing, Peregrine Falcon, Snipe and Jack Snipe. During the summer many Dragonflies, Damselflies and Chasers. A great place for the family. Activities for children pond dipping etc. All hides have wheelchair access. The visitor centre has Hot and cold drinks, snacks and toilets. You can hire binoculars.£4 to park for the day. Free parking for RSPB members. You can join the RSPB at the centre. You can donate as little as £5 per month for membership of the whole family. When you join you can choose from a range of resources including excellent guide books on Birds.

  Great place for birds. Saw a kingfisher and lots of great dragonflies. Not very well signposted. It has toilets. The long walk includes a stretch of road next to the sewage works which is a bit fruity.
