  Came upon this lovely country pub and was so pleased we did. Very friendly staff and locals and food was delicious and quite reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

  Had a fantastic Sunday lunch the food was faultless and full of flavour and the staff were friendly and very welcoming. I highly recommend this place. The pudding was stunning too.

  Kim and Tom’s wedding last Friday was amazing, and largely because my daughter Kim’s choice of the Plough as venue was spot on. Fantastic building, brilliant staff, and everything totally organised for us. Food was superb and generous portions too. Nothing too much trouble, and having the pub for a breakaway zone was perfect. Kim + Tom were still smiling today as we took them to the airport for their honeymoon! One minor point was wheelchair access which had been addressed with a ramp into the barn, but meant going outside to get from pub down to the barn. Knowing beforehand was sufficient for us, but some might find it difficult.
  Thank you so much for helping make it a perfect day - 100% recommended. (Father of the bride)

  Amazing first time experience the food was so amazing. The only negative thing I will say is that we was seated right next to the fire so every time i took a bite of my food I had a taste of the fire which was a shame but other then that such a beautiful place will be coming again soon

  We hired the barn for our daughters christening and the hog roast was superb. The sun was out so tough choice between being in the barn or the vast beer garden! Staff were very friendly and looked after us well! If you have an event the Plough is a great venue!
