Great staff that walk you through the decision points for a purchase. The staff will give you as much, or as little help as you need / want. I went in with an open mind wanting information on the Stihl 250 chainsaw. The staff member related that this will be a good all around light duty chainsaw good for a home saw and limited firewood. In addition its fairly light and manuervable. I don't want or need a professional saw. Those saws are for daily, extended use and for large diameter wood that bogs down smaller saws. I related that the biggest drawback I have heard is that Stihl is hard to start. The staff member said that flooding the saw with gas can cause that, and it floods both an upper and lower chamber so requires effort to clear. The best method is to read and learn how a choke works and practice the correct starting method, not just crank on it. While I have said this abruptly, the staff member was very patient and agreeable. They then related multiple methods for clearing a flooded machine. Another interesting bit was that Stihl only sells through dealers who service what they sell. This ensures you have at least one source to help you with needs in the future. In addition, the other saw brands sold in the "box stores" while they may be labled the same as what a dealer carries are in fact made with less robust parts which makes them cheaper to sell in the box store. The price overall will be lower if you go through a dealer. What brought me into the store in the first place is that I couldn't find a replacement chain for my boxstore saw. Its a few years old and no longer supported. The staff member told me to bring the old chain in and they could most likely make a chain up for me. That's what I did and it only took a few minutes. The cost was $25.00 which is less than the chains at the boxstore (if they have it). So, the dealership provided service by educating me, helping me define needs vs. wants, and provided a part (chain) no longer available through retailers. I further inquired about good used units. They do in fact have them, but being the start of the season, they are in short supply. Each used unit it completely gone through, parts replaced and in solid working condition at about two thirds the price of new. They service all items in the Stihl line and carry Ariens snow blowers as well.

Well my experiences Stihl chainsaws in corporate is an actual great place to go if you need that type of Hardware not just that but they are some of the best sauce in the world and if the CEO and I would get together I'm pretty sure we would have a lot of great conversations about the possible up and new good ideas for Stihl chainsaw but all in all the service was excellent the people were great and I enjoyed it very much
