One Family Community Birth Center

I did my prenatal care here with both pregnancies and it was the best choice I made. Everyone is very nice and the couches are like a piece of heaven!

We delivered our second daughter at One Family. We had a hospital birth with our first born. The experience was horrible as we had to fight every step of the way to deliver her unmediated without intervention. We knew we wanted to go a different route when we became pregnant with number 2! One Family was the first place we looked at and we never went anywhere else! The center is warm and inviting, our daughter was so excited to go and play there at every prenatal appointment. Our midwife was a dream and the staff always remembered us and made us like we were at home. The day we had our daughter it was so nice to have a room like our own to us just enjoy being with her for her first few hours. Then to be able to jut go home the same day was awesome! The hospital made us stay for three days for no reason. Even after our second was born we would come back to the center often just to let our girls play and to catch up with the staff. We are now expecting our third and can not wait to see what kind of birth we will have with One Family this time!

A Doctor's office would never go through as much trouble as Shauna and Heidi did to take care of us. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking natural birth.

I absolutely love this place! I gave birth to both of my wonderful little boys in the same tub in the same birth room! With 8 years in-between! And I wouldn't change anything about it for the world. We are so very blessed as Alaskans to not only have a wonderful comfortable family atmosphere to birth in as this birth center, but are able to use our Denali Kid Care to pay for it! Not many states can say as much! I would ask any pregnant mom to at least check it out. Once they have seen the environment offered to them they will be sold! Theres nothing else like it!
