(February 11, 2023, 8:06 pm)This is a great place to go skiing, but they do lock the gates after 9:00 p.m. I believe. It's better to park over at chugiak high then to park at the chalet.

(April 4, 2020, 11:10 pm)This is an amazing Nordic ski trail system. No dogs are allowed and they are vigilant about grooming. It is well lit for evening skis and offers paths for all skill levels. The scenery is fantastic, especially on a bright day. There is plenty of parking at the Chalet or Chugiak HS (you can access the system at either location). Volunteers with the Eagle River Nordic Ski Club and Eagle River Parks and Rec. take great care of this area and residents are very lucky to have such a wonderful place to recreate right in the heart of the community.
