Just want to thank you for the fishing experience a couple weeks ago on Willow Creek. Shane was awesome - amazing guide. Knew the creek, fishing holes extremely well and helped me improve my fly-fishing skills. We caught several beautiful rainbows in the 20-25-inch range and lost some larger ones - my fault for getting too excited when trying to set the hook. I have fished many rivers and creeks in AK and Willow Creek definitely stands out w/ their large rainbows.

    We had a great time!

    Thanks again,

    Chris

First off I would like to thank Adam and Kat for an amazing trip. FishHound is a top notch guide/expedition fishing trip company. Myself and 2 best friends set off on a 6 day float trip down clear creek. Our guides were Cam and Jesse. These 2 men were the most enthusiastic, knowledgeable and hard working guys I have ever meet. We had a day and a half of great fishing. Catching rainbows, dolly varden, grayling and chum salmon and then the weather turned bad on us. The river flooded and we had to get to high ground. We spent 3 days camping on a hill side and Cam and Jesse kept us safe and well feed, unbelievably they didn’t let the bad circumstances get them down. They found a way to keep us fishing all three days until we got off the river. This turned out to be a trip of a lifetime that we didn’t even know we needed and couldn’t have happened with out Cam, Jesse and FishHound. We are already planning a return trip.

What an awesome time today out on the ice, our guide was amazing and really went out of his way to make our trip great as the wind was high and the slush strong but he made sure we were comfortable and hooking fish! We caught 11 fish in all and it was quite the thrill, even if my wife out-fished me on her first time out! :P

I’ve gone on 2 trips now with this fantastic fish guide service. Both of our guides were patient, knowledgeable and environmentally conscious. They really stand out from any other company I have gone with. These guys have a ton of respect for the fish, and will ensure they are handled properly. After choosing a plant based diet, I had also stopped fishing but after the first trip I was so impressed that I decided to give it a try again. I’m so happy I did because I forgot how much fun it is! Another huge bonus for me is they are dog friendly! Truly the best fish guide service! Thank you again Adam, Cam and Will!

Our family had a trip of a lifetime on a 3 day, 2 night trip on Clear Creek (aka Chunilna) with FishHound Expeditions. Communication was excellent from booking to our good-byes. Our guides Adam (the owner), Cam and Willy took great care of us throughout our entire trip. Fishing was good. We all caught some beautiful rainbows (over a half dozen 4 pounds or more) and saw some amazing country over the three days. The guides were patient and helpful with the novice fly fishers in our group and indulgent of those in our group who arrived declaring they were aware of their bad habits and weren't likely to change (lol..Shane). Fishing was all catch and release and the guides went out of their way to protect the fish and the landscape. Please do not let bears (we never saw any) or riding on a helicopter stop you from booking one of their trips. Our pilot, Danielle, was excellent. The views from the helicopter were amazing and the ride smoother than any commercial flight. One last rave - they fed us really well but the best was the homemade cookies and bread made by Adam's wife. Yum!
