  Lovely place with creative and tasty food. Wonderful staff who clearly take pride in what they do. Came here two back to back nights. Had the polenta and daal soup as apps (both great), and for mains had salmon with risotto and pesto spaghetti (plus shrimp)—both really good. Ate out on the cute deck, which was cozy albeit occasionally buggy. Locals come here, and I understand why!

  Please look at the Trip Advisor reviews, where this place gets a perfect 5 stars, which it deserves. We had a phenomenal meal, excellent service, and wonderful atmosphere. Lots of locals come here and love it. We asked, and the rumor is true that one disgruntled drunkard is having Google bots leave one star reviews to trash the restaurant's reputation. Come see for yourself why so many people leave five star reviews.

  OUTSTANDING. We went in knowing nothing about the place and quickly ranked it as one of the best meals we’ve ever had (compared to top-rated restaurants we’ve be to in NY, London, San Francisco, etc). Friendly, attentive staff and truly delicious apps and entrees (we wish we’d had time for dessert!). We plan to return ASAP.

  I have no idea why this place is rated a 3. It was brought to our attention that a patron who was refused service due to alcohol intoxication was disgruntled and started to spam them with 1 star review (you can see it was around the same time 7 months ago.) Also, the staff at Hightower Pub were told to bash this establishment and spread rumors about the staff in attempts to sabotage their business. It’s really sad. I wouldn’t trust any of those reviews from 7 months ago that only have one review on their profile.
  
  The food and service are fantastic. The prices do feel higher, but post Covid times do that. Restaurants cannot survive without raising prices.
  
  The atmosphere is laid back and beautiful. I’m a picky, well traveled foodie and recommend this place to all of my friends who come out to Girdwood. The owner, Alexandra takes pride in her restaurant and staff, she makes it very apparent that she was grateful to make it through Covid times and to survive in this industry. I would highly recommend this place, don’t let the bad reviews keep you away.
  
  I have been here several times and do not have a personal relationship with the owner. This is an unpaid review of a place that I really enjoy going to and hate to see bashed on by immature people abusing social media.

  Absolutely love this place! Wanted something chill and friendly and that's exactly what we found! Awesome service, friendly and fast. Flavor packed food and classics as well! Had the pastrami bagel and was so amazed at the flavor punch it packs and my husband likes his classic eggs benedict and he said it was up there with the best with a different taste twist with some lemon that he really enjoyed! Highly recommend this bistro!
