Pier 88 Boiling Seafood & Bar Avondale

We make it a best practice to call restaurant to ask for their wait time before showing up. We went on a Friday evening, no wait time. Our waitress was awesome and down to earth. The food was really good, came out in a timely manner, and was really hot which let us know it wasn’t just sitting in the pass. Can’t wait to go back and try some of their fried foods:)

Great seafood. We came in on Friday right as they were opening. The food came out hot and fresh and tasted great. I had the shrimp and crawfish and my wife had snow crab legs. Everything tasted great and the prices were reasonable depending on what you wanted. I think that day the king crab was like $70 a lb. The shrimp and the snow crab were much easier on the wallet. The restraint was clean and the food came quick. Very great staff and friendly/helpful servers. I would come back for sure

Delicious food 😋 it was apparent the waitress was still learning the way around menu and sides. Feel like this place has potential when the bar opens and if they were to play music fitting the theme of the establishment. Maybe Stickfigure or hint buffet...Not kc&Jojo "all my life" or other 90s R&b.

We really enjoyed the food and found the prices very reasonable. I had black and green mussels in the Pier 88 sauce. My wife had the shrimp. They serve each meal in a plastic bag with the sauce, entree, potato and corn on the cob all inside. They corn and potato absorb the sauce and juices from the other food. It was great. I recomment the medium sauce. The server (Mike) was great. We will be back!
