Sterling Structural Therapy

I learned about Stirling Structural Therapy on the Fascia and Chronic Pain release summit. I applied to do a free assessment and assumed I wouldn't be a suitable candidate. I thought it can't hurt to have an assessment anyway. I was fortunate to have Dana the founder do my assessment and I was so excited to learn what is happening in my body that I'm compressed on the right side which was doing all the work and over stretched on the left and that put my pelvis and hips out of whack so that I suffered with chronic hip joint pain.

Dana told me I was a 100% eligible candidate to benefit from this therapy. I live in New Zealand and so it was even more amazing that I could do this therapy online with a personal coach. I am working with Lauren who is my therapist and she is fantastic in giving clear instructions and guidance. I have a set of exercises to do every day 5 times and I am starting to see changes in my body - more strength in the left leg and I can walk more without my walking sticks. All the exercises are reinforced with clear videos that explain exactly how to to them which are simple yet have a big impact in stretching the fascia and are now correcting compression of my right side. I couldn't recommend this company more highly. The scheduling is super organised and I feel like I'm in expert hands and on the way to regaining mobility and this things I love to do like gardening and walking and swimming. I have been trying to manage chronic plantar fasciitis for the past 8 months with no relief from traditional methods. A friend saw a YouTube video of Dana talking about fascia and sent me the link. I had nothing to lose and signed up for the free 45 minute consult. Within the consult my therapist Judah gave me the most subtle of adjustments that helped to decrease my discomfort immediately!!! I can't explain it. It seems so crazy and kooky that all the pain I had been having in my left foot is being relieved by addressing fascia issues on my right side. So it may seem kooky, but it's the first thing that has given me measurable success. Today, I went for a 20 minute walk for the first time in 8 months.

I was born with scoliosis, and I have a shorter right leg among other issues. I have tried every modality out there, and this is the best by far. My back has completely gone out on me before, and I was really close to that when I started SST. After 2 weeks I was almost pain free!! After a month I was back to doing all my normal activities without any pain! I’m very active so it’s important for me to be able to live my life - SST definitely made that possible. I love that I can do everything through zoom, since I live in the middle of nowhere. Lauren is the best! Highly recommend to everyone I meet.

The team at Sterling has a novel fascia-based approach to managing pain and dysfunction. I exhausted everything in years of conventional physical therapy before I found them. Judah did my assessment and I’m working with Lauren now for many months. My experience with Lauren has been life changing. I have hope and optimism now as I’ve regained functional abilities.
