Amazing trail with spectacular views. Various trails diverge from central area, varying through 3km to 10km hikes. Saw wild watrhogs deep in during sunset hour

Great little area for hiking. Moderate enough that both my kids were able to do it with little to no complaining and just long enough that I felt like I got some decent exercise. Gorgeous scenery. Wild flowers in bloom, large saguaro. Not a ton of shade, so bring lots of water (this is true of almost all Arizona trails. A couple of little park benches to sit on at various points, which was nice.
Only drawback - where we exited, we had to hike by a horse/trail ride facility and the smell was absolutely horrendous. That may have been our fault for leaving from the incorrect location, but it was pretty gross, and there was runoff waste in the roadway. Didn't make for a pleasant path back to the car.

We did the shorter loop hike. Really great. A little rocky at times but definitely an easy hike. Saw a few cacti in bloom. 4 porta potties before your start, just in case. There's a $3 per Person park entrance fee that's payable after you park.

Excellent hiking. We went on a cloudy day but still fun to see the petroglyphs and the cave. Crossed sturdy plank bridges over creeks.

This is a great hike! In the winter, Cave Creek actually has water in it. Hike is very easy going and there are a couple of loops to choose from. Pets are allowed, just pick up after them. The kids all had a great time. This is a terrific spot nearby that everyone in the family can enjoy. There's horse riding available. I didn't get the prices, but lots of people were doing it. I think they were using horses on the Elephant trail, which is one that goes into the mountains that is not maintained.
I had a great time. It's a fun and relaxing walk with amazing sunsets. Right now in the winter time it's not too hot. It's a perfect time to take everyone in the family out for a nice walk. I would choose this over other trails because it's great for the novice hiker.
