I had the privilege to work closely with Dr. Ahluwalia for many years in the hospital as a nurse up until 2013. Dr. Ahluwalia is extremely thorough, and takes his time with his patients which is extremely important with procedures. He is also consistently professional while caring for patients during procedures. Recently I was hospitalized, and Dr. Ahluwalia was there for me at the hospital every step of the way. I was extremely grateful for his knowledge, expertise, and bedside manner. He helped me through a very scary time in my life. Thank you Dr. Ahluwalia
Dr Ahluwalia is not just very competent, he's also very nice. Always a pleasure to see. Sanjay was thorough and articulate in explaining what needed to be done. The surgery was a success and I am feeling better than I have in years.
As a nurse who worked along side Dr. Ahluwalia for many years I saw how he not only provided care for his patients while they were awake but how he cared for them when they were asleep. He is skillful, kind and at all times has the patients wellbeing and health at the center of his care. He takes time during procedures looking and observing, not rushing. Personally I have needed EDG's and colonoscopies and have picked him as my GI doctor. I trust him and the care he provides, he is detail orientated and empathic. The well being of his patients is first and for most therefore, I also entrusted him to care of my mother and my husband.
Dr. Ahluwalia is a very quiet man but he cares very much about his patients. He has been my GI since 2004. He is shy, not aloof. However, he is very knowledgeable. Medicine is not an exact science, nor is it "magic" and Insurance companies often have "processes" that a doctor must follow in regards to prescriptions and treatment plans. Sometimes it takes time to work through a process to get a correct diagnosis and insurance companies don't make that easy. This man is a good person. I have referred all the people I care about to Dr. Sanjay Ahluwalia.
