Its a good place to cool down. There are quite a few rocks so you might get scraped in the river like me. The path downwards is quite difficult, but someone managed to get a grill down, so it shouldn't be to difficult. They do have life guards there, which is surprising to me since every river I have been to has not had any.

Was able to take 2 young kiddos on a beautiful and safe nature walk through the woods and then back along the river. When we arrived a river rescue fellow asked us if we wanted life vests--that's service!! Depending on river level (it was pretty low today) it is possibly to walk along the river the whole way, but there are ways to get up and over obstacles when the river is a little higher. There are times in the spring or late winter I wouldn't attempt that, though.

If You Are Looking For Some Quite Time This Is It. For Me I Love Starting My Day Out Here... The Playground Is A Great place To Start!! "If You Have Kids" After Letting Them Play. Go On A Walk!!! YOU will Love As I Do... If You Are Passing Through Don't Pass It Up!!!

Beautiful location! The trees in this area gives people wonderful shade and has access to the river too plus a neat playground. Also good walking trail around the park too. I would give them a 4.9 stars because their basketball hoop is probably one of the worst maintained hoop I have seen.

But a wonderful place for a cookout, they also have the biggest outdoor grill I have seen in a park around these parts. It looked like you could cook an entire pig on it.
