The Craig O'Hern Golf School

We found Craig on Google search and we’re glad we did! Craig was absolutely amazing our first lesson and he’s a great teacher. We will be seeing him now for future lessons and we’d highly recommend!

Very professional. Craig was able to watch my swing just a few times and detect exactly what I was doing wrong and where I needed help. He then was able to explain in simple terms what I needed to do to adjust. He didn't try to give me a million and one technical concepts to try and keep in mind. Three simple steps for me to think about when I address the ball. Those tips have improved my ball striking 100%. When I step up to the ball on the course I'm not trying to remember a thousand and one tips, tricks, basics and fundamentals I've learned over the years. I have 3 simple steps I go thru and my consistency has improved dramatically.

I can't recommend Craig O'Hern Golf School enough. I recently booked a two day lesson during my stay in Scottsdale and couldn't be happier with my choice! Craig was very professional and easy to work with. Once he corrected two major flaws in my setup, I began striping the ball solidly and on target. We worked on everything from cut shots, knock downs, fairway and green side bunkers, downhill lies, chipping and putting. I know I still have some work to do but it felt really good to have the gentlemen playing with us during my instructional round gasp at what my handicap was before working with Craig. I was around a 13 before I started and finished that round just 2 over. If you get the chance, work with Craig. He can help you enjoy this game like never before.

My husband found Craig through his downhill shot video, which I definitely recommend you watch! It is insightful and very helpful. We planned a trip to try Craig as a teacher and boy are we glad we did!! He is terrific! He explains things in an easy to understand way and does not change your basics. I have had many golf lessons before, but Craig really broke it down and really made sense!

We spent two days with Craig - lesson in the morning and out on the course with him in the afternoon - both very valuable. We took off the day in between for touring, which I highly recommend - your brain will be full!

Possibly best of all - Craig videos the major points of the lesson, so when you go home - you can review what you learned and not forget it, like with most lessons!

If you guys need golf lessons around the Phoenix, AZ area, it would be a big miss not to try Craig O'Hern. I typically do not write a review but when I have such positive experience, a reward is due beyond the fees.

I was new to golf but I in a hurry to get to a play level where I am not embarrassed to play with other people . I went through 3 instructors and I feel that Craig was the best by far and way ahead from a second. He is very articulate, patient and follows through. He does not try to change you overnight that you end up not remembering a thing and completely messed up. He sends you emails to remind you of the important things to remember.

After my first lesson with Craig, I can tell right away that he knows golf both as a player and a teacher. When you are working on techniques, he breaks it down into different components and clearly articulates the impact of each part of the swing. He has a knack for spotting quickly what you are doing wrong - great for coaching. We all know that golf is not just about techniques. When he goes out with you in the course, he gives you insights of handling the different scenarios, basically, how to think. He is imparting his experience which is great for me.

Craig works very very hard for the money. At this point, I can honestly say that the lessons together with my many trips to the range, I am no longer embarrass playing even with random players inserted to make a foursome. My scores are improving a lot but I am also realistic to know that I have a long way to go - better techniques cemented into muscle memory and experience.

Without a doubt, I am taking more lessons from Craig.
