I have worked part time at Jumpstart Learning Center for a few years, but the past year full time as the Pre-K teacher. I feel it a privilege to work at this preschool and have the support of some awesome parents. The teachers that complain are the ones that didn't want to take the required classes to get pay increases, although most were getting free childcare. Add that $200 plus weekly to their wages and that is a substantial pay increase. Plus added breaks to breastfeed their infant.
Since we have primarily foster children, they can be somewhat unruly and challenging until we earn their trust. I realized this week that tough love worked, when one of my most challenging boys was in a confrontation with another boy. When the other boy started to hit him, he put his arm around him and said let's not do that because we are friends. If we were horrific, it worked. I had 8 children graduate into kindergarten. The change from the first of the year has been tremendous.
I have always believed it is the employee's job to help make a workplace successful.
I am a family member but I try to go beyond my expectations because of being family.
I am sorry people find they have to complain and try to make businesses look bad. I appreciate the positive comments we have received because of the complaint. Thank you!
My child went to this daycare for years! It was a very humbling time! The teachers and owner are nothing short of amazing!
My child attended the daycare as well as did pre kindergarten there. Mrs. Olivia was the BEST teacher my child has ever had and she is and has now been attending grade school for several years. If I could have kept my child there for the remaining of her years, I would have most definitely!
I miss the establishment and teachers tremendously and my daughter still talks about them to this day! Mrs Sherri is a gift to children and I will never forget her kindness and ambition for the children! Our fondest memories are here as well as great years of learning!
I could never express in words my gratitude or love for this place for the children to be safe and learn and grow into amazing little people!!
The staff is very professional, compassionate, kind and skilled. They have a variety of off campus activities throughout the year to keep your little ones brains moving. Your kids will LOVE attending!!!
