  I fell and knocked myself out in Italy. When I woke up I could not move my arms or my legs for a couple of minutes. It was really scary. I was scheduled for a MRI on the Monday after I saw my PC at home. But before the MRI, my left arm stopped going any higher than elbow high. Monday’s MRI combined with the loss of movement in my arm led to an immediate admission to the ER. Fortunately, Dr. Clough was on call and came by to see me. He had a sense of humour and kindness before he got down to business. He told me I was extremely lucky that I got my feeling back in my arms and legs because I could have just as easily woken up a quadriplegic. My spine was so full of arthritic changes it was necessary to clean them out immediately. Then he also had to clear out C3-4 and C5-6 to allow the nerves to get through to my arm. Dr. Clough had a booked schedule for the week, but he rearranged it so he did surgery the first day he was back to work. ( He was on call all night and had Tuesday off to sleep and recover). He was an absolutely wonderful surgeon. He managed to get me transferred from a double room to a private room at my request. I was going to go to rehab for a few days after my release, but my recovery had been so well and swift, that I was too healthy to go to rehab. He was a miracle worker. He also had a wonderful bedside manner. I would definitely recommend him to anyone considering neurosurgery.
  He is outstanding. And my stay at Menorah Hospital was just as good. Excellence service.

  Dr. Clough and his PA, Sarah are absolutely wonderful!! They are kind and very thorough!! They work well as a team and I would highly recommend them for your care!!

  Dr. Clough is very compassionate and caring. He made sure we completely understood the situation, the options and what to expect after surgery with two of our children. He took his time to make sure all our questions were answered and he went above and beyond our expectations to make sure everything was taken care of and we were satisfied with the two separate situations we were dealing with. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to help our family in a highly stressful situation.

  Dr Clough is amazing. Not only is he an excellent surgeon he has the best personality. He is friendly and knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable immediately. He has done surgery on myself, my husband, and my best friend too. All turned out well. He also has the best memory. Six years after my surgery he recognized me in the waiting room after my husband's surgery. If you need a neurosurgeon, I highly recommend Dr Clough!

  Dr. Clough is not only the BEST doctor I have ever met, he is also one of the kindest human beings you will ever meet. He took care of my husband (who was suffering from brain cancer, hydrocephalus and meningitis) for about 8 months and TRULY is the expert in bedside manner. He has the perfect balance of candor and compassion. I cannot recommend him enough!!!
