  I have lived at Casa del Rio for two years. My rent is reasonable, Casa del Rio has a good vibe. The staff and residents are very reasonable. The receptionist Dina is very knowledgeable, efficient, and always friendly. My housekeeper Gloria does an excellent job and my apartment always looks good after she leaves. The dining room staff is excellent! They are friendly and do their job well. I receive two meals per day, full menu choices and tastes good. The staff always puts the resident's needs first.

  The weekend overnight front desk person, Rebecca, was very helpful when my mom needed a little assistance. What a sweet young lady!

  It is a beautiful campus, well maintained despite its age. (However, residents do not take full advantage of the many outdoor spaces available for reading, conversation, games, swimming, etc-- this I do not understand.) I chose Casa del Rio because it offered the most square footage for the price, everything else being equal. There are a number of floor plans -- one of them should fit any prospective resident's needs perfectly. Close to many doctors' offices and labs; just a mile or so from Banner Boswell Hospital., restaurants and light shopping. Facility offers pre-scheduled transportation, albeit within certain limits. Staff members are generally friendly, cheerful and helpful. Routine maintenance needs are taken care of efficiently and quickly. There are special interest activities , and the activities director is willing to initiate others upon request. Off-campus bus trips (to special events, performances, casinos, restaurants, tours, etc.) are scheduled regularly, and residents are invited to attend a monthly meeting where they can provide input or suggestions to staff about future activities. I think that Casa's weakest features is its food service, but even that is "acceptable" --there may be those who like the "meat and potatoes" menu, but I'd prefer more vegetarian dishes or what is sometimes called "Mediterranean" cooking.

  Cindy is amazing with her energy and kindness to all the guests and occupants. She is a go and getter and keeps the place together. Cindy's spirit is infectious. In the dining room, Bethany is kind and considerate. My Mom is 91years old and loves this place.

  We toured this facility and were excited to see all of the residents who were out and about during the day. The activities that were hosted were full and people seemed to enjoy themselves. we especially enjoyed the activities director Cindy. The apartments were spacious and the whole facility was very clean.
