I graduated from PC in 2008. After 13 years, I am still referring people to Phoenix College. The education I recieved there was top notch. Small classes and superb instructors. I met my best friend in this program and she has continued on to get a PhD in Physical Therapy from USC. They set you up for success and won't screw you around like some of these big chain massage schools in the valley.

I received a massage from one of the students, Cristina. She was amazing! She went out of her way to make sure the massage was to my liking and helped me with some problem areas. Super happy with the facility and the staff. Highly recommend!!

I graduated Phoenix College Therapeutic Massage Program in April 2017, obtained my license in July, and have been working for a nationwide massage chain since August of that year. I appreciate getting detailed instructions in class about the Arizona license procedure so it went smoothly. At the time of hiring, it was a great benefit to have completed a program with such a reliable reputation, Phoenix College, because the background check for hiring is extremely strict.
The affordable tuition enabled me to complete the program without borrowing, and although it wasn’t easy, I was able to keep working at my old job while going to school until I got my massage license. I was able to complete many of the preliminary classes and electives either online or by coming to weekend workshops, and when I entered the core program (the real hands-on massage study), the evening program hours let me keep on working at my day job.
The classes were small enough for all students to be mentored individually with instructors’ enthusiastic teaching; I had worried about not being a native English speaker, but I was always able to get help to achieve the program.
It was impressive to me how diverse my classmates were--from teenage to senior citizens, male and female, different ethnicities, many different backgrounds—but even so we quickly became like a family. (I still miss the class and Esmeralda’s chatting.)
The lessons could be hard and kept us busy but, even so, it is what we needed to get the basic knowledge to begin as a professional therapist, in such a short time. Especially, I find that knowing anatomy is critical at the real work site. Actually, I feel the textbook “Trail Guide” that we used is material worth memorizing the whole book. I still review all textbooks and quizzes (these are useful) from the class now that I am working in the profession for real.
Now that I am working with 4 or 5 clients a day, I can recommend the training program at Phoenix College to prepare you for the career.

Before I chose Phoenix College to get my Associate of Applied Science Degree in Therapeutic Massage, I checked out all the schools in Phoenix. I felt that the best choice for me, was the program at Phoenix College. I felt with the prerequisites and initial interview to get into the program, they were committed to ensuring the students in the program received a strong medical foundation.

Within a week of receiving my license I was hired by a local chiropractic office. I feel that with the training I received at Phoenix College I was prepared to handle the work required for my position.

I would highly recommend Phoenix College for your massage therapy training.
