This is a rare type of restaurant in Phoenix -- a renovated Victorian-era house containing perhaps the only French-ish restaurant in the area that focuses on comfort food (rustic country dishes like cassoulet, short rib, duck, and pork belly). I've been there over a dozen times over the past few years, and they have consistently good food across their entire menu and a really nice atmosphere.
Even if you're not wanting a full meal, they have a great list of appetizers (the figs and dates are fantastic, as is their duck fat & blue cheese poutine), and their front patio is a great place to grab a glass of wine and a snack. I just wish they would bring back their lentils!
We just had a fantastic dinner. The food is great and the staff are friendly. Highly recommend!
I am so happy this place is open. Their pate is delicious. Everyone in our family loves the mac and cheese including the kiddos. Their food is good for sit down and to-go. The champagne and service can't be beat.
We love the atmosphere of the historic house. The food is high quality and delicious, especially the charcuterie. Save some space for the Hatch Apple Pie, it is to die for. Good selection of wines and cocktails. We went for happy hour and had a wonderful time.
Truly wonderful. I have dined in/ordered takeout from the Farish House at least six times this year, and every experience, every dish, has been 110% worth it. Food is unbelievably good (the cheese plates are a must here) and the cocktails complement the cuisine so well. Value is great — I have never had a dish here that I thought was overpriced.
The staff and owners of the House are also excellent. They're kind, attentive, and just generally a joy to talk to. They clearly have a passion and love for their establishment, and it shines through every time I have come here.
Do yourself a favor and enjoy a dinner or two here this month.
