So far, this place is amazing. Never done physical therapy before but I'm in to rehab my knee and I'm three weeks in, feeling strong and better than I have in years.
I actually want to work out as soon as I get the ok. This is NOT like me, you guys. I'm not a work out person, but realizing you might lose it compels you to want to use it, so I have to thank these folks for that wake-up call. They didn't even say anything either, so don't get the idea they're preachy or anything. I just had a real moment with myself in the car on the way to an appointment.
You gotta do your workouts they give you in your off time in order to get stronger and better, but if you do what they tell you, (and avoid what they tell you to avoid) you do get better!
The receptionists who've never even seen me yet (I'm guessing they rotate staff from location to location) all know me by name (it's like sorcery! It's not even when I sign in, there could be a bunch of patients already and they're just like, "oh hey Harmony, how are you today?" - like, what?!? I know how scheduling works but they are just really on top of things), they're like clockwork with reminder calls, and they're just the nicest people!
They also have coffee and tea and mints and stuff if you're into that.
The therapy staff is gentle but firm, they're all as strong as 6'3", 250 lb weightlifters but you'd never know it to look at em, very knowledgeable, easy to ask questions of, they give you easy to understand answers with technical stuff to back it up and help you progress with treatment and recovery. They tell you what's ok to do by yourself, what you need to do only when you're there on site, how to care for your injury, the whole nine.
They make you work. You can't get better if you don't work at it and the staff here is so good about getting me to do it. And they don't stand in your face. It's not a gym. They just trust that you want to improve and tell you how to do it. Show you, and then they kinda set you free. But you can always ask them things. It's the greatest. I don't know what I thought PT was going to be, but it wasn't this.
Oh, and I'm 37 and they can just kinda give me excersises to do and watch over me, but I noticed they take that extra time where they're monitoring "the younger set" (like me, haha) to really give the elderly patients the physical assurance of their presence they need in order to get a good therapy session as well. Some older people can be anxious about moving about and they seem to be sensitive to that. I like that about the staff here. Very attentive to their older patients but also there for folks like me who just need someone to look up once every few minutes to check my form and see if I'm doing my therapy correctly.
Tl;dr: if you're hurt, come here. These folks got you fam.
Dr. Nate and his team have been so amazing to work with. After years of Physical Therapy at other establishments with no results, i had almost given up. I am so grateful to my provider for sending me to back in Action.
The staff from front office to the Technicians to the Physical Therapists are super friendly and very tentative to your issues and needs. Excellent communications. I was under the care of Nate Hoffman and Trent. I would recommend them.
I didn't actually get to be treated here, but Cassandra was so, so helpful in trying to find out if my insurance covered the doctor(s) there. They don't, but she spent 3 days on hold basically with my insurance plan to find out for me and she was cheerful every time I spoke to her when I'd call to find out if she knew anything yet. Not every office staff member at every doctor/physical therapy office will do this for you and some can't be cheerful at all!
Very professional staff and quality care. I highly recommend Back in Action for post surgical therapy.
