(December 15, 2020, 2:44 pm)Due to a bacterial infection in my blood, I had both brain and open heart surgery within 2 weeks. Dr. "Rockstar" Riley was my cardiac surgeon replacing my aortic valve. I named him that based on his almost ridiculously amazing reputation. He really is everything everyone gushes about, from his personality/bedside manner to gifted surgical skill. He was assigned to me (I had no reason to research a cardiac surgeon before the sudden crisis); I am extremely grateful he was assigned to me!
