Dr. Ross and her staff at the Global Retina Institute she created gave my wife and I the most amazing gift of better vision and education to maintain good vision. Both of us were facing blindness down the road.
I did not believe there was any hope for my having MD because I had gone to 4 Ophthalmologists who were specialists in MD to ask about what I could do. The answers prior to going to the Global Retina Institute was nothing for my dry MD except vitamin supplements. In addition for 17 years none of the Optometrists or Ophthalmologists who all saw the hole in my retina felt it was an issue. Dr. Ross saw It had become larger with fluid starting to leak. Dr. Ross repaired the hole in my retina during my initial visit. She explained to me the many types of MD and why mine fortunately was stable and should remain so. I learned from Dr. Ross that my vision changes were from my having dry eyes and not the MD progressing. I had known that I have dry eyes, but no one had explained the cause let alone a corrective course of action beyond using clear eye drops for lubrication. Dr. Ross corrected the root cause and provided education on long term care. The difference in my vision is amazing.
My wife had floaters to the point of not seeing. Dr. Ross operated on one of my wife's eyes for multiple issues along with removing the floaters. As she is rapidly healing my wife is getting back clear vision. Later this year she will have the other eye operated on.

What Dr. Ross has done for both of us is life changing in such a positive direction as we go forward in life. Both of our moms went blind.

Dr. Robin Ross was referred to me as one of the foremost vitreoretinal surgeons in the country. She saved my eyesight and continues to administer treatment for a chronic condition I have. I have a complex eye situation with a myriad of diagnosis. I was referred to Dr. Ross and could not be more grateful for being under her care. Dr. Ross is extremely knowledgeable and up to date when it comes to her field, but to make this more impressive, she has a priceless empathetic bed side manner. After thinking there was no solution to my botched cataract surgery, Dr. Ross referred me to a top-notch cataract surgeon. She prepared my eyes for surgery, repaired a retinal tear and has been taking care of my eyes showing how much she cares every step of the way. I work in healthcare, I have come in contact with many providers, Dr. Ross is the epidemy of a knowledgeable, competent, but must of all caring provider. There are not enough words to describe how thankful I am for what she has done for me, we all know that our sight is vital. You can cannot put a price on finding a provider that you can trust.

I was referred to Dr. Ross from my retina specialist, because I had some floaters in my eye that were blocking my vision, and Dr. Ross is only one of four doctors in the U.S. currently providing this treatment.

I work on a computer most of the day, and the impaired vision was noticeably slowing me down and making me much less efficient, I couldn't get as much work done. It bothered me when driving, I had to be super cautious and was always worried I wouldn't see something or someone coming, and the headlights at night from oncoming vehicles would create a lot of glare. When playing catch with my son, I had a hard time seeing the baseball very well and was quite nervous on every throw that came my way and I totally missed one of his throws and it hit me squarely on the knee and was bruised and hurting for a week.

Dr. Ross and her staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional in my two visits there, where I received two laser treatments on my floaters. After the first treatment, I had 80-90% of the blockage gone, and the improvement was amazing, I could see so much better within a few hours of the treatment with no side effects. I called her office the next morning and asked them to tell Dr. Ross she was my hero. A day and a half after the first treatment, I took my family on a 3,500 mile road trip, and I drove 90% of the way. I can't describe how much better I was able to see driving, totally comfortable again doing that without the worry and weight of the impaired vision. My worries about being productive enough at work went away immediately. I haven't had the chance to play catch yet, but I'm looking forward to trying that again.

This procedure was totally worth it for me, and I can't thank Dr. Ross enough. I would highly recommend Dr. Ross and her staff for this treatment. There was a little discomfort with the treatment, but not bad at all and not painful; there was very little effort on my part after the treatment - I just had to apply drops to my eyes for a day or two, no side effects, and I had immediate improvement. After the second treatment this morning, there was additional improvement. I still have a few small floaters, so I will see how it goes with those, but the option is there to go back for more treatments if they become too bothersome, but the improvement is phenomenal and I have such a better outlook on life. WONDERFULL!!!!
