  Brookdale of Tempe is a lovely retirement home. I used to be an active volunteer at Brookdale, and while I was there, I saw an unmatched level of the compassionate care given to their residents. All of the employees are very welcoming and caring at Brookdale, unlike some other retirement homes. The people at Brookdale are always welcoming to visitors and often host entertaining events for the whole family to enjoy. If you want a caring and loving home for your parent or loved one suffering from Alzheimers or Dementia, this is the perfect place.

  My mother has been a resident at Brookdale Tempe for almost five years. The decision to move her from her home in Iowa to Tempe was one of the most difficult decisions my family has made. But we immediately learned it was the right decision, and the perfect place for Mother. Brookdale Tempe has brought peace of mind to my family for all these years, and we will be forever grateful for the professionalism of the staff, and the loving and thoughtful care they have provided Mother each and every day.

  My Mom was a Brookdale Tempe resident for the last year of her life and I was so thankful I moved her there. I wish I had done it much sooner. The staff was so caring and friendly and treated my Mom like she was Family instead of just another faceless, nameless, resident.
  
  I can say that Adrianna, The Manager, Lorie, the Health & Wellness Director, and the entire staff did everything possible to help my Mom with her severe Dementia problems. They did things like using their own money to purchase things they thought my Mom might eat when she was not choosing to eat the usual great dining room food. One of the staff used to come in on his day off sometimes to make sure my Mom would eat that day because he had a close rapport with Mom and could convince her to eat much easier than other staff. The Brookdale staff not only treated Mom like family, they were always there for support and advice for me when I needed it. I could go on for many more examples of the professionalism and outstanding care provided at Brookdale of Tempe but I would suggest a personal visit to the facility to meet and talk with the staff. The Brookdale staff is so good at providing quality care and are doing a job they love. My Mom has been gone for about 3 years now, but I still stop by to see the wonderful people that were so good to her.

  Three years ago, my mother went into Brookdale Tempe. At the time, it was thought that she had about one month to live. She is happy and so well taken care of. The staff is attentive, caring, and works very well with the family. The facility is architecturally appealing as it looks like a little town in the lobby. It has three garden patios. Everything is well kept up and clean. I am so grateful for the staff at Brookdale Tempe.

  After visiting multiple facilities, Brookdale Tempe stood out from all the others. Their philosophy of "minimum medication and highly-trained staff" convinced me this was the place I wanted to care for my husband with Alzheimer's. He has repeatedly stated that he is happy there. I am there 3 times a week and I can see that the staff themselves are happy there. Staff turnover is low. The facility is clean. My husband loves the food service. The activities are plentiful and appropriate for the varying levels of needs. The administrator is definitely the key to the quality of care given. She frequently gets involved with the care of the residents directly and her bubbly personality is infectious. The nursing staff stays on top of my husband's needs and can even tell by his eyes if he is well or not. I volunteer most Saturdays because I can see the joy in the resident's smiles for all the positive attention that they are given, which makes me happy too. Brookdale Tempe doesn't forget the families either. Once a month families are invited to join their loved ones for dinner. I can't say enough positive about this facility and the staff.
