Jakubs & Son Funeral Home

We always enjoy staying here when traveling down to Tubac. While the hotel is in dire need of some upgrades, we've always been comfortable, and it's always been quiet, we basically have the pool to ourselves at night. Curtis at the front desk is a true asset to the site, he's helpful, super kind and accommodating and we look forward to seeing him on our next trip down to Green Valley.

Fantastic stay! The hotel was very nice and the room was clean and comfortable! Also their restaurant has some really good bar food and great selection of beer!

The rooms were comfortable and quiet. It was wonderful to have breakfast included. The 2nd day we were there they were short staffed in the kitchen. It took forever to get breakfast. Our wonderful waiter kept us informed and did his best to help us meet our schedule. This is a pleasant spot at a budget rate.
On another note, if you're looking for a Southwest experience...look somewhere else. No Mexican items on the menu, no one was conversing in Spanish, etc. That was disappointing!

This funeral home is highly recommended. My father passed away last month and my sister and I were dreading having to plan it. Steve the director was more than awesome. From the time I first made the first call I felt very comfortable knowing my dad was going to a caring place. It literally looked like my dad was just taking a nap and he looked just like himself (not makeup all caked on). Every thing we asked for Steve made happen. We asked for a horse and carriage and when we pulled into the funeral home , a horse and carriage was there to escort our father.

NEVER in a million years did I think our appointment with Steve at Jakubs & Son would have went the way it did. Let me back up. My sister and I just buried our dad on October 30, 2020 and we were DREADING this appointment. This was the first time we ever had to plan a funeral and being as we just lost our dad, we were very emotional. Our meeting with STEVE was amazing! My sister and I literally laughed the 2 1/2 hours we were there with him for our appointment.
(We were just being us and of course it was also everything unorthodox we were planning... Pink Floyd theme...) We wanted to make dad's funeral a celebration of who he was and they truly helped us capture that.
Steve even helped up hire a horse and carriage to take dad from the funeral home to the church the next morning. It's exactly what we needed and Steve made everything so easy for us. He was simply awesome and Dad looked unbelievable, as if he were sleeping. I would highly recommend Jakubs & Son for your loved one.
