Cadence Academy Preschool

Our daughter went to school here for 3 months as we were transitioning from Seattle to Tucson. Andrea, the director, took us on a virtual tour while we were in Seattle and we were amazed with the facilities and lucky enough to have been able to enroll our daughter there. The teachers were very kind and caring, as was the administrative team of Heather and Andrea. Our daughter would still be here if we didn't move across town. Very grateful to everyone there for caring for our daughter.

My partner and I are typical overly anxious, first time parents. We are very privileged to have had 6 months with our baby while working from home before starting school/day care. When the day came to take our baby to Pusch Ridge/Cadence Academy, I was a little excited and mostly terrified. Who could possibly learn all of our baby’s cues, all his likes and dislikes, all the little things that have to happen to keep his silent reflux bearable throughout the day? Thank goodness we chose this place!

Our baby absolutely loves going to Pusch Ridge/Cadence Academy, and it’s the phenomenal teachers in the Angel Fish room and the baby:teacher ratio that Pusch Ridge/Cadence Academy chooses to maintain that make this possible. He smiles when we talk about “going to school”. Sometimes, when we pick him up, he leans back towards the classroom and doesn’t want to leave just yet. After one week in the classroom, he was in a routine, happy, and excited to go each day. It is amazing to see and warms our hearts.

Second, we can’t say enough good things about Sydney, Savannah, and Sarah, the Angelfish Teachers. They are beyond amazing. They are so attentive to his cues and how they change from month to month as he grows. They are so conscientious about what he’s feeling, what he’s trying to communicate, and what he needs. They are so warm and kind and caring. We appreciate everything they do on a daily basis to help him feel comfortable and grow socially, cognitively, and physically. We often watch the Angelfish room cameras for 5-10 minutes around lunchtime, because we miss our baby. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve seen the Angelfish Teachers sit with the babies in a circle and sing/clap a song or have the babies explore a themed set of toys all together. They dance with the babies, rock them in rocking chairs, play on the floor, take them out for a brief wagon ride (wagon has safety harnesses for each kid), they facilitate a nice balance of social and independent play, and there are plenty of tools/toys to help babies of any age get experience with physical development, like bouncers, learning walkers, swings, play mats, and even a very very shallow padded foam “slide”! On top of all of this, the Angelfish Teachers do a phenomenal job of making sure the babies’ physical needs are met as they arise.

Third, they are so detail oriented in their communication! We are so grateful that we can access how much he’s eaten, slept, etc., in the app and can’t imagine logging all that for multiple babies. They even include notes about how events went if anything is slightly different from usual. The pictures they upload to the app are wonderful!! Above and beyond all that, the brief conversations we have when we drop off our baby and pick him up really demonstrate how phenomenally caring, kind, detail-oriented, and attentive they are. They have such wonderful insights about how his day went when we pick him up. They really pay attention to how each baby’s day went, what went well, what might linger into the evening, etc. I don’t know how they do it! They are saints and masterminds!

Last, despite being an overly anxious parent who brought in way, way too much information about our baby that first week, not once has Savannah, Sydney, or Sarah made me feel like I was too much or a burden. They are so, so kind and understanding about parent anxieties. It means more than I can say.

In sum, we don’t know how the Angelfish Teachers do what they do day in and day out. We are so relieved and grateful that our baby is safe, healthy, and so, so happy with them!! He has grown so fast socially, cognitively, and physically because of their hard work. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything! And thank you so much to Pusch Ridge/Cadence Academy for intentionally keeping the baby:teacher ratio low and keeping such great, updated toys/swings/etc. in the rooms.

My wife and I made the best decision entrusting Pusch Ridge Preschool with the care of our son Jayce. When we started he was extremely shy and only wished to be around mom and dad. After just a month, the change you could see was amazing! He's super sociable and when he wasn't at the preschool all he could talk about were his teachers, classmates, and wanting to go back. They did an amazing job helping him not only develop but showing him love and great care. We would give 100 stars if we could and are sad we had to move away.

Pusch Ridge Preschool and Kindergarten is a fun-loving school with teachers who give the best quality of care. The teachers do many fun projects and activities to strengthen the children's creative, physical, social and emotional skills! All the workers at Pusch Ridge Preschool and Kindergarten are very friendly and welcoming to all their families. Overall Pusch Ridge Preschool and Kindergarten is a great place to send your little ones!
