The Tuxon Hotel, Tucson, a Member of Design Hotels

So much WOW to be had! For a place that looks so unassuming on the outside, it makes up for in trendy-retro luxurious!
The entire hotel has a fun, yet tasteful vibe and decor. The staff is attentive and the service outstanding.
The bed. I love sleeping and napping. The bed was insanely comfortable and features downy, cottony coverings and pillows. I'm also one who needs the sound of a humming AC for optimal sleep. I kept it at 72⁰ and slept like a baby.
The other fabulous feature is the pool area, complete with stylish furniture and decor. For an extra fee, you can get a cabana, but we were pretty happy hanging with the plebeians. The full menu, including an amazing assortment of beers and adult beverages, are all available poolside as well. Needless to say, we spent most of our time hanging out here rather than venturing out downtown.
It was my partner's second time here. We booked one night and ended up booking a second. Needless to say, we're hooked. No need to look elsewhere when in Tucson. 🏜️

The Tuxon is a remodeled old school motel type joint that has been modernized and well. Pool bar is nice but it's not the kind you can swim up to. Pool was nice and the hotel was clean. The parking situation can get a bit hectic on weekends with a lot of guests. Close to downtown and it's amenities but also close to the freeway and all the sketchy freeway folk. On site security and a large fence with gate separate the hotel from the city though. 4/5 would stay here again.

Enjoyed a staycation with my daughter for Mothers day. The room was cozy and well designed.
The property detail to design was a delightful surprise.
Small and quaint with a great vibe with lots of local flare.
The property gates closing and locking at night was a bonus security feature.

Finding a place in the area with a pup is a challenge. I found Tuxon online and it looked super cute. As I first drove up after 8-hours of driving I was thinking...arg! This area is kind of yuck. Then I went in, surprisingly even though it was spring break and there were folks at the pool everyone was super chill. The room was small, but very cozy and we slept great. The food was AMAZING. Everything we ate there was so yummy! The people staying at the hotel were really nice and the people working the bar area were so nice. My dog loved it and she got to hangout out with us the entire time. I would recommend this hotel.

It was a perfect stay cation. The rooms are well designed and modern. The pool was great and the live DJ made it even better. The staff and manager were extremely friendly and accommodating. They offer some unique full flavored options on their simple poolside menu as well. We'll be back!
