(March 29, 2017, 4:03 pm)The Rincon mountains are one of the most beautiful places around Tucson. Plan you trip intelligently. Ask the rangers for reports on the various seasonal water springs. Plan your trip during a time when water is likely (after recent rain/snowmelt) or plan to carry all of your own water. This place is remote, it's great! The campgrounds provide bear lockers and even toilets. For how remote this is, I respect the work of the rangers who maintain the campgrounds. Pack it out, and keep these mountains pristine.
