The South Smokin BBQ

Heard this was a popup restaurant and wanted to try it out. Seems they have move to Hayward now which is closer so good for me. Friend ordered brisket sandwich and side of garlic fries, sister got the bbq fries with tri tip, and I decided on the bbq sampler plate. They didn't have the cheese sauce for the fries so put shredded cheese on top instead. Probably better with the cheese sauce but it was still good. Omg, order the garlic fries now! Those were so good and the aoili sauce, give me a jar of it. My sampler platter had pulled pork, brisket, tri tip, and ribs. Everything was nice and moist, huge portions, excellent bbq. The hot bbq actually has some kick to it, when i loved. We got charged for extra BBQ sauce for the sandwich and the bbq fries which wasn't much but still additional charge which we were not told about.

Just tried his BBQ and Sauce. OMG. Yummy. Can't stop telling my friends about how tender the meat was and his sauce is great too. His mild sauce has a small amount of heat, medium is my favorite and the hot is not over powering hot either, they are all sweet. I had the French Fries with Pulled Pork drizzled over the top was the mild sauce and washed it down with a local cold beer. It was a great way to end a stessful day.

Tim is a lovely guy, super passionate about what he does, and it shows not only through the fantastic barbeque, but also his attitude overall. Definitely a place worth stopping by.

Went to their pop up site in Hayward located in front of Brews and Brats. Delicious brisket sandwich.
