Rest - A Boutique Hotel

We had a fabulous stay! The friendliest staff members we ever met! The evening wine tasting was outstanding as was the small bites provided by the Hotel. The room was clean, inviting, cozy, and stocked with all you need. We also enjoyed sitting by the fire pit where even s'more fixings were provided! We will return to REST for sure and we highly recommend this Boutique Hotel!

Located in a charming old town in wine country, Rest has amazing staff, food and wine tasting. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. The construction of the rooms upstairs makes them seem soundproof. The associated restaurant, Taste, is the absolute favorite place of my husband and I. Everyone there is so welcoming and helpful.

We are part of a winetasting group called Vino Vagabonds and each year travel to different areas of the California wine country which have included Napa/Sonoma, Lodi, Livermore, Paso Robles and many other wine areas. We visited the Rest Hotel 5 years ago, and then again just this month, Oct 2023. The accommodations were comfortable and homey, yet classy. The personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. The extras included wine and wonderful freshly made hor'dourves every evening between 5 and 6pm for the guests. The rooms were well appointed with incredibly comfortable beds, and a plethora of snacks, coffees and teas. The building itself is a great architectural wonder as you navigate the hallways, stairways, decks, and patios with multiple spaces for sitting, including an outdoor firepit. And....they are pet friendly! You will love your stay there!

We wanted to partake in the Amador Big Crush event this weekend, and decided to book our 3 night stay at Rest Hotel.
Leading up to our stay, we received a few texts welcoming us and asking if there was anything at all that we needed.
Upon our arrival we were welcomed so warmly by Lisa who invited us to leave our bags to the side and partake in their nightly free wine tasting event which included several wines and delicious bites from their next door restaurant, Taste.
The room was massive, spotless, and filled with all kinds of goodies, amenities, and tons of snacks, which were all complimentary.
The staff was so warm and friendly, and a special shout out to Andrew the awesome, who was always friendly, smiling, and enjoyable to chat with.
We actually met the owner, Tracey, who we thought was a local wine rep. She was just so low key, pleasant, and down to earth, and a perfect example of why her hotel is so well run and warm.
Kudos to everyone here. It was a wonderful stay, and we can’t wait to come back again next year.

This hotel was a perfect stop on our way home after Lake Tahoe and Yosemite! We stayed on a Friday evening, so it was fairly quiet. The location was perfect for visiting the fabulous wineries nearby. The host was welcoming and informative. The Taste next door was the best meal we had all week! Corn ravioli…YUM! The attention to detail in our room was above and beyond…snacks, water, robes, reading lights…oh my!! So sorry we missed the free breakfast but felt pampered with wine and apps during happy hour! Don’t hesitate to visit The Rest Hotel!
