Nice place to hike or get a run in. You have your choice of killer hills or gradual hills. The trails are maintained and in pretty good shape. There's some trees for shade, but it goes away when you hit the pastures. Yup. You get to run with cows around you. Don't worry, the ignore you. You mostly just have watch for their patties scattered throughout the trail. Overall I like this park. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the lack of decent bathrooms. There's porta potties and outhouses. That's it.
Start of a great walk to the top of the hill in Brione Country Park. What a view.
Love this location for family photo shoots. Lots of space and various nooks and crannies to explore.
We had a great time hiking in the Morgan Territory here. My only gripe is that the water fountain did not work. So please bring all the water you need to hike. The backpacking camp has water, but you start at the trailhead with none.
We love taking our dog on big hikes in tjis area. Many great trails where he can be off leash. Wear hiking shoes and bring water, especially for the dog.

Briones Regional Park is huge! My fiance and I are on a hiking kick - we recently had the chance to hike in Briones Regional Park. Since we only had a short period of time, we opted to take the Old Briones Road Trail. We accessed the trail and the park through the Bear Creek staging area in Lafayette.
