Visited the ER last night for excruciating stomach pain that lasted for several days. I described it as “I don’t want to be alive anymore” levels of pain. I’ve been in positions where I threw out my back and was on the floor paralyzed in pain & I had a period of daily migraines for months and neither of those even remotely compared to this pain. Upon entry I noticed it was nice and empty, which was great because I was tired and in pain and overstimulated. I know this won’t be the case for everyone but being able to choose where I sat was helpful. The receptionist was soft spoken and very kind, made sure to give me as much information as possible while she asked questions and checked me in. I unfortunately don’t remember names from the visit but she was amazing. I was then ushered back within about 5 minutes by a male nurse, with a woman nurse waiting as well for us in the room. Both were very cheerful and welcoming, which calmed my anxiety greatly. The man checked up on me the most throughout the night and helped ease the tension I felt. He updated me what was going on, what tests I needed, what would happen when certain meds were going in, etcetera. When I told him about how specific I am with IV, that I need to cover my face so I can’t see it go in and that sometimes blood draw can make me pass out, he was super understanding and let me do what I needed to do. The doctor was super kind and listened well to what I was saying, making sure to pay attention to my pains. They all took me seriously, which was not something I was used to due to how I can typically joke around when I’m in pain. I usually get written off. I had to get a CT scan which took a few minutes and the CT guy was also super nice and informative, letting me know how the contrast would feel and interact. They let me know when they would get results and continued to check vitals and IV meds/fluids/etc. They let me know WHY they were doing things too which was very important to me and made sure to ask intermittently how I was feeling, pain levels, if I needed anything, etc. luckily no huge problems and I’m back at home and have meds now. I feel much better and for someone who is extremely untrusting of medical facilities, I can confidently say that I would trust this hospital over any other at this moment in time. 10/10, amazing job. Thank you all so much for helping me with the best care possible. I am so glad that this was my first experience with medical staff in Cali.
What a great er md Joseph Toscano was wonderful I wil ever go to another er! I got a stye in my eye I was in and out within 30 minutes! On a Friday at 5 pm
I recently visited this ER for my husband
We were visiting USA and you can imagine our distress.
Right from arrival ,the security guy ,receptionist were quick and helpful.My insurance was accepted
We were seen by Nathan within 20min and he called Dr Toscano immediately
of course we waited in waiting room for over 100min or more as it was 31st night
Once we were into the Er patient rooms treatment was prompt and terrific!
Dr Joseph discussed with me and also allowed me to give input as i was a dr too!
