Sly Park Recreation Area

Great lake, even in the winter! The cost to get in was $15, sadly had to run all the way back to town to get cash. Beautiful drive to the lake coming from Grass Valley.

Been going to this campground for years and I still in love with this place only due to the fact that it’s so nice out here. Even the weather stays nice when going out here. The nature sounds, the night sky, the fun camping experience I could only ever stay nostalgic for which always makes it feel like a good dream. Easily a 5/5 every time I’m here

If you live in the area you need to see this place. It’s fun for a little get away. Have picnic in the park. The campground was beautiful, and being so close to the lake was wonderful. It’s clean and far from Cameron Park. We strangely, all the other campsite groups were dead and empty. We could have had a little campground.

Absolutely love this place! Been coming here since I was a kid. Great place for day use, as well as camping. This time we went up for the day & went paddle boarding. The water was perfect, not a lot of people where we were. There was lots of boats on the lake for the day, but we still had a nice calm area for us which was nice. Bonus we got to see some cute little ducks that followed us around lol

I loved spending time camping here. My dog was able to enjoy freedom within the confined of our site as well! Plenty of space in the sites, the lake was beautiful. Only issue was being locked out at 10:30 pm when the sign said gates lock at midnight. Park comped the site fee for the night we got locked out though so I'm more than happy. Bathrooms were not smelly and everything was great!
