Balsam Meadows Sno-Park

A fun walk to the lake if you want an easy trail and only half a mile each way. I noticed that there is a restroom by the lake as well.

Nice easy, mostly flat hike. Busy July 4th weekend and there were only two other groups of people spread out around the lake. Nice quiet spot for a picnic.

The halfpipe was sick, 16ft walls with 2ft of vert. The skate sno park was on fire. Killer set up hips, rollers, quarter pipe, volcanos, jumps, step ups, boxes, rails, wall rides, dropping in on your left. Had a big barn fire going good drinks flowing and solid music playing. Good time had by all, YAU, ALWAYS GOING OFF!!! 🔥🤙✌

Had a great time. It was snowing when we were there, so it wasn't super crowded, but even when it is crowded the people visiting are usually very friendly, more than willing to share their sleds, and just having a good time.
For $5, you really cant go wrong. Just make sure to keep an eye on the youngsters, as wandering past the tree line can be deceptively dangerous, with a swift flowing, ice covered creek running nearby that you wouldn't even notice until you fell in if snow has fallen recently.
There is a building with restrooms, but dont expect much. The main attraction here is the snow play, with 2 or 3 good, safe sledding runs and plenty of space for snowball fights, snow angels, and other assorted snow type fun.

Fishing, hiking, bird watching, relaxing, lake is beautiful for being man made, its used for hydro electric, water pumped to shaver lake during the day, pump back up at night
