We had the most AMAZING time here! The cabin is so cute and spacious. We came during the winter months and the heater worked perfectly to keep every room cozy. Full tub and shower. The area is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay in the cute mountain town of Kernville. Mackenzie was an awesome host and made sure we had the absolute perfect stay. We will most definitely be back and staying here again!
We loved the little cabin.
We went to check out this campground my sister and husband have their trailer there and love it. We looked at the possibility of us doing the same thing..
Our cabin was very nice, comfortable king size bed, great little kitchen.. I mean no stovetop or oven, but had a microwave, griddle, crock pot and electric frying pan, so that was great.
Bathroom was nice, tub/shower but we had one issue with the bathroom sink leaking...we noticed an issue with the faucet, but the next morning I went to shave (my wife put my shaving kit and her items under the sink in the cabinet), my shaving kit was wet, very wet (glad my shaver was fine)...
Since we were there for only two nights we reported it, but we guess they weren't able to fix it. But we still had a great time..
Thanks Kenny S
Exceedingly clean, cozy campsites. Yes, the showers (still) need to be improved (coin box located outside the shower stall, too cold for too long then too hot/difficult to regulate/have to step out to reload more coins if your hair is still soapy/etc/etc). Militant about wearing bracelets. "Gotcha" with the extra fees for pets (why wasn't this included in the initial camp reservation fee?). But it was quiet at night. People were friendly. Great access to the river.
We stayed Sept 14-17 at Camp James with my Brother, Sister In Law & Friends. What a beautiful, clean, well kept campsite and having the river right next to us was such a beautiful sight everyday. We rented a trailer and it was fantastic with all amenities. The facilities were extremely clean and the staff... incredibly kind and helpful... especially Rosie!!! This was my first time here and definitely looking forward to coming back next year. I highly recommend this campsite to all!!
