What a pleasant surprise! I haven't been up there for years. New owners? The place looks apropos for the beautiful Alta Sierras. Love it! It's clean, bathrooms are clean and warm inside even though it's snowy outside. Now for the food and service. First I appreciate an owner who can roll up their sleeves, work hard and still find time to welcome people with a pleasant personality. A rare treasure indeed! The chicken fried chicken IS AMAZING! The dish was served hot, chicken was moist and tender with a fantastic tasting gravey! We'll definitely be back for sure!

Best fried chicken sandwich I ever had. Seriously. Make it up there on your motorcycle if you are in the Kernville area it's a great short steep ride from Wofford Heights.

Beautiful location, very lovely and well designed building and delicious food! The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent! This is our new, favorite out of the way cafe! Well worth the drive!

As of January 2021 Loved it!
In the past with previous owners it was hard to pin down exactly when they were open and the food was not consistent.
But after a couple recent visits on weekends (Friday-Sunday) under the new ownership. We loved the food and the friendly service. My family and I will be coming back again. Many thanks to the staff at the Greenhorn Grill.
