In January 2017, I wanted to regain my health. I used to go to a big gym, but it was intimidating to me when I decided to start exercising again. I was afraid to use some equipment and machines because I didn’t know how to use them correctly and was embarrassed to ask for help. The gym was also daunting. I felt people were judging me because I was not in shape. I also was looking for a place where both my girls, 16 and 8, and I could spend time doing an activity that not only supports our physical and mental health but, more importantly, FUN!
Of all the places I researched, I found Fitness Factor. From the moment the girls and I went to look at the location to determine fit, the environment was immediately welcoming. Fitness Factor has all the equipment and machines a person needs to get in shape, but the gym’s culture keeps people coming back and attracts new people. This gym has people of all ages, sizes, and various fitness needs. He understands that we are at different stages with our health and exercise and that there is no judgment. He pours into all his clients and offers various resources and opportunities to be successful in our journeys! For example, he has had an exercise and nutritional fair, periodically offers educational sessions on nutrition, and offers opportunities to participate in hikes and other activities. Everyone at the gym ends up getting to know each other and becomes supportive of each other. It is a beautiful, blended family. We motivate, celebrate, and continuously challenge each other!
There are not enough words in the world to express our love, respect, and appreciation for the entire Fitness Factor family!

Kevin and Maggie are both outstanding trainers. They are the owners, and they not only have great skill in training, they have great dispositions to match. It's been said that the heart and soul of a gym is run by the owners or management. It trickles down to the employees and how they interact with the customers. Their employees are also on the same page when it comes to decency, integrity and training. It's a happy place, with a bit of humor thrown in at times. Both Kevin and Maggie are always looking out for the welfare of those they train. Continual checking on their well-being and tweaking the form if needed. They do not push you to perform, they work with you to improve, but never act as drill instructors. Quality is very important to them. You may ask, "are you related to them?" the answer would be no. But I know quality when I experience it. I've been lucky this last 2 years to have been trained by Kevin. The great thing is, if I'm gone for a few days, Kevin remembers when I come in again what my last set of exercises were and he builds on that. That always amazes me!! Joining Fitness Factor has been one of the best decisions I've ever made! Finding motivation to get to the gym has always been a struggle with my demanding work schedule.
