Bluewater Avalon

Excellent place to enjoy the view and the food the island has to offer. The fisherman plate was delicious. The artichoke crab dip and the calamari are so so good. Excellent customer service, excellent food quality.

Server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great views of the harbor and outdoor seating over the water.
Food was really good and the Buffalo Milk was like a milkshake (a must try while you're on the island).

Mixed bag this last trip.
The good: the"Blackened"swordfish sandwich was one of the best one ever had. Amazing fries as well.
The bad:
Service- incredibly spotty. While other tables seemed to be getting great service from their waiter, ours ignored us, twice when we needed napkins had to ask other waiters and had trouble speaking and understand English. We had to repeat requests just on the initial order.
Clams and mussels- on a previous visits they were fantastic! It is why we come here. This trip, mussels were fully bearded (shame on you Bluewater) and clams were the tiniest we've ever seen.
We'll think twice before dropping another $100 lunch here.

Had the wonderful privilege to travel out to Catalina Island. We had a wonderful boat ride and walked around the beautiful island. Ate dinner at the blue water Avalon, there were many seafood and fish choices. I had chicken my husband had the fisherman platter all was delicious! Our appetizer was jalapeño artichoke dip it was very good. They had a nice alcohol selection. Absolutely delicious!

Fantastic food! Great location! Such a nice place to sit and eat lunch. Beatuiful views from the outdoor seating. Service was good. A little over the top though. Almost every 2 minutes we had someone coming around to make sure everything was ok. Was non stop. Grateful for the good service but was a bit too much.
