Flexus Comfort is a small latex manufacturing facility located in the California City of Covina, 22 miles east of Los Angeles. I recently purchased a 10-inch mattress that had three layers of 3-inch latex. The configuration I bought consisted of three inches of firm Dunlop latex on the bottom, 3 inches of medium density Dunlop latex in the middle, and 3 inches of medium Talalay latex layer on top. The three-layer configuration I chose provided me an optimum structural environment for a good night's sleep.

Latex is a durable natural rubber material. The production of natural Latex comes from the same overseas producers for virtually all United States manufacturers. If you primarily sleep on your back, you should find a 100% natural latex mattress to provide optimum support for a good night's sleep. Latex is a dense and naturally responsive material. You do not get a sinking feeling sleeping on a latex mattress. Your body feels supported, somewhat akin to the feel of a spring mattress. The Latex mattress configuration I purchased should provide many years of durable comfort. The foam mattress that I slept on previously, and purchased from a major national manufacturer, provided adequate support for four years. The foam content then began to break down, and the mattress no longer felt comfortable to me.
If you sleep on your back, then you should be pleased with purchasing an all Latex bed. If you are a combination sleeper or sleep primarily on your side, then my configuration may not be optimum for you. In this case, you might look to purchase a softer latex configuration or a different combination of materials to your liking.

I am happy with my purchase of a Latex mattress from Flexus Comfort. If you do some shopping for natural latex mattresses, you may find a significant price discount from other more heavily advertised manufacturers. Being a smaller manufacturer, you may also have to wait 2 or 3 weeks to obtain your customized mattress. The final product, in the end, will hopefully be a good night's sleep.

Posting my 1-month update after purchasing my mattress (10" Queen, all natural latex, one side is soft|firm|firm and the other is soft|medium|firm)!

tl;dr: I recommend this mattress. Price is moderately expensive at $1500 but the value is great for latex, bed has been fantastic for a back sleeper that has suffered lower back pain for 6 years now, customer service needs improvement due to lack of responsiveness.

I am a 6'0", 175 lb, male, back sleeper with shorts stints of side sleeping. I was using a 10" Tuft & Needle Original memory foam mattress for 6+ years. I suffered a sports injury in 2015 and now have a bulging disc in my lower back. I do everything in my power to find lower back pain relief.

The ugly: When moving from Texas to California, I was in the market for a mattress. I visited a local Dallas natural mattress store selling brand name latex mattresses. I also visited Mattress Firm and Sleep Number because it's only fair to give them all a shot. Here are the medium/medium-firm mattresses I tried out in the mattress stores in Texas : Tempurpedic ProAdapt, Tempurpedic LuxeAdapt, Simmons BeautyRest Black Hybrid, Posh+Lavish Relax, Purple 2 Hybrid, Sealy Perfect Sleeper. I fell in love with the all latex Posh+Lavish, but it was priced at $3200 MSRP!! And the other beds ranged around $2200 - $3000 MSRP (after negotiations with salesmen, before in-store cash to spend on accessories)!!

A deal: I found Flexus Comfort from exploring forums (ex. The Mattress Underground). I had to decide between SleepEZ and Flexus Comfort, but ultimately went with Flexus since I was moving to Los Angeles and they were local. The price was $1500 MSRP for a 10" all latex mattress that was customizable with 3" latex layers (that are interchangeable and exchangeable with the store for a small fee) and 2 shredded latex pillows. Pretty good deal, lots of flexibility, and no dealing with mattress salesmen.

The bad: I confirmed with the owner that my bed would arrive July 2nd or July 3rd before placing my order. I placed my order online on June 14th and he confirmed the date by writing it on my order. Then... it was radio silence until I felt compelled to call him a few days before I jumped on the plane and was informed that it would be delayed to until July 10th/11th! That sucks because now I need to go to Costco and buy a temporary bed and sleep uncomfortably for 1.5 weeks. I call again a few days before the new delivery date and this time I'm informed that it'll be delivered July 14th between 3-5 PM. Finally, but I wish I wasn't forced to call Flexus to find out if there are delays on my orders. There were no updates over email or phone calls from Flexus.

The great: The owner had two of his guys come by and drop off the mattress. They were very professional -- brought it in, opened it up, and made sure the layers were settled and not overlapping. They made sure to wash their hands before touching the bed and they wore masks.

At first, I was having a hard time staying asleep. I was either sleeping hot or felt off. I kept waking up. Well, it's all been smooth sailing since two weeks in and my sleep has been fantastic. I don't sleep hot anymore (I did upgrade sheets to bamboo sheets), I don't wake up with any sores, I feel supported and the mattress is bouncy. I still sleep with a pillow under my knees for the lower back relief, but the latex mattress supports me well. It definitely took a little while for my body to get used to, but I'm glad I committed to it.

NOTE: Flexus Comfort's problem isn't supply chain. They can't control if their suppliers don't deliver latex; global supply chain has been horrible and they are victims of this. Flexus Comfort's problem is a lack of an automated feedback loop when there are delays + automated updates to the website on estimated delivery time. I should not be calling the company and having the owner answer phone calls about when the next estimated delivery date is going to be. It's frustrating.

This is a long overdue, much deserved rating for Flexus mattress. I was in the market for a full size mattress for my son’s platform bed. As a teen, my son didn’t express much by way of what he wanted in firmness, but I knew that if it wasn’t “right” he’d complain about it. Not to worry, I told Henry that I needed a semi firm mattress non-pillow top and he delivered! He told me he would get me something his kids liked and sure enough, my own son loves his mattress. Now that he’s had it for a few years it’s even better. More recently I needed a full size mattress for my mother who was unexpectedly coming to live with me. At 85 years old and with arthritis, I needed a frame, box spring and mattress which could accommodate her petite size and was comfortable, and I needed it delivered fast. Once again, Henry delivered in record time the perfect mattress. His crew had all the Covid safe guards and were in and out with installation quickly. Five stars for quality, price and customer service!! Thank you Henry and Flexus!
