El Monte Vietnamese Seventh-day Adventist Church

First, we do not go to this church and non Vietnamese. My review is for the summer camp and after school wherein I brought my kids. My Transitional-Kindergarten kid started with basic knowledge of letters and limited words as he loved to play. After a month of summer camp, I am surprised that he knows basic Math addition and substraction! He suddenly became very much interested in reading, writing and Math. They encourage participation in activities like singing and dancing. They do have summer basketball camp too. Now, I brought my kids back for after school as they will also be assisted with homework and still doing singing and dancing presentation!

Great potluck!! Everyone is so friendly and there are lots of youth.

They have bilingual services for English and Vietnamese. It is a great church that brings you closer to God no matter where you are in your walk with him. They have bible studies for the new and experienced. The fellowship is great and best of all, free potluck every Saturday after service!

this is my home church :) cozy, friendly place with a lot going on. Prayer session in the morning, Sabbath school, worship service, potluck lunch (every week, since a lot of people come from pretty far to attend), afternoon activities for children, afternoon Bible study, sometimes there's an evening prayer session as well. There's also a group that's pretty active in community services. Then there's another group that does a lot of cooking. Also, a pretty cool video ministry.

There are separate services for those who speak English (like me). :)
