  Honestly, a pretty great hotel with a very soft bed and plenty of amenities. 20 mins to get to the airport in moderate traffic. However I'd agree that $80 is a bit too much for this place and room smell was slightly swampy.

  Great deal and great rooms. I was very impressed when I walked into the room. The renovation on the rooms is well thought out and executed. USB outlets at the beds, backlit light switches, and new furniture make for very modern rooms. I wished I'd found this place sooner, I spent several nights paying more for inferior Hawthorne hotels before the Hawthorne Plaza Inn.

  Though I normally stay at more upscale places, I needed a reasonably priced spot to crash briefly. This was ideal. Very kind and helpful front desk. Many thoughtful amenities for a small hotel, such as coffee, tea, AND hot chocolate. Comfy bed. Pretty sink area. Not top-of-the-line but notably good and outstanding for the price.
