Great teacher. Very approachable and tailors the techniques taught to accommodate the abilities and limitations of his students.
Richard's Tai Chi class has helped me to relax and focus my mind. The exercises done prior to practice have served to loosen my body up, especially my neck and back areas.
Rich's class is Tai chi has saved my balance. I was falling and even have a scar under my left eyebrow. After six months in the class, I went from a grandmother who played soccer with her grandson sitting in a chair to standing up and active. His health exercises would be enough to keep me in the class, but learning the form has helped my memory and even to learn left from right. I've been in the class for about 3 years, am the oldest person in the class, and will take advantage of his class for as long as possible. Thankfully, with the class, that will be a lot longer than I had expected.
I have taken classes from Richard for many years. I believe strongly in the health benefits I have received from the Tau Chi and Chi Kung and Kung Fu.
I am oiver 50 now and have diabetes. I can tell you I have seen the difference it makes.
Richard is an excellent instructor, his style of teaching is positive and fun.
He always listens to each individual and offers instruction and encouragement to help each person.
I would recommend his classes to anyone. They are good classes for health, and positive improvements
I highly recommend Richard Mieir King s class which is Taichi and Wellness. I enrolled more than a year ago and I am still in his class, hardly skip it. I lift bags in my line of work. His class has helped me to be more agile, relieves my tension and creates more energy. In fact when I go home I am mored wired than when I first entered his class. Richard is an excellent instructor and explains in detail of how the movements are when you transition from one step to the next movement. He has a fine sense of humor and makes sure you understand how this movement in Taichi can be applicable in real life. I enjoy my Thursday class.
