  My three year old chaos demon of a kiddo and myself have just recently began going to Lakewood Optometry. It was difficult to keep my kiddo focused or to stop him from running everywhere, but I never felt anything but encouragement and support in wrangling my wild child.
  
  For my own exam and new glasses they treated me right every step of the way, and now I have my dream glasses that satisfy my atypical aesthetic—though I did see a LOAD of gorgeous contemporary glasses to choose from!
  
  Go, go, go! And being your kiddos. The staff and even Dr. Takeda offered exactly the tone and patience we needed to get through challenging exams.
  
  I almost can’t wait for my next checkup, and will be submitting my existing frames for new lenses because I simply cannot part with them 😍

  I hated to have to find new eye care when my former ophthalmology practice changed hands. After reading reviews about optometrists near me, I chose Lakewood Optometry. This practice is top-notch...clean, (with great COVID-era accommodations), the clinicians/opticians are nice and very professional. My appt was on right on time, my exam was thorough and my new prescription was nicely determined by Dr. Takeda. When my frames came in, they were carefully and expertly fitted to me (one of the most important things to me so that I am comfortable!). I’m so happy to have chosen Lakewood Optometry.

  As someone who has always had poor vision her entire life, I’ve always valued the experience of a small, personal practice vs. a. Optometrist in a big box store. Dr. Takeda and her staff are so kind, caring, and careful, I always feel like I’m in the best hands. I wear contact lenses, so I don’t have the luxury of delaying my appointment while we’re in the middle of a global pandemic. I felt that the process for booking and attending my appointment was very safe and I didn’t feel any fear at any time. I also didn’t feel like I was in a five minute car wash- that is, in and out. Dr. Takeda still took time to talk with me, catch up, make me feel like a valued patient. That majorly matters in my book. My contact order and subsequent pickup was a breeze!
  
  From technology, patient care, customer service, “bedside manner” and safety, I cannot recommend Lakewood Optometry enough!

  My daughter was on a college choir tour during spring break. Her group went to the beach, and she lost her glasses in the ocean!! To make things worse she failed to pack her contact lenses! Our optometrist in NE faxed my daughter's prescription to Lakewood Optometry. They were so kind, understanding and giving. They graciously gave my daughter 2 pair of contact lenses, a contact case and contact solution to get her through the rest of her tour. Thank you so much for turning a terrible situation into a bearable one.

  The staff is very sweet and inviting. They take their time examining your eyes so they can offer the best prescription. They have a variety of glasses and sunglasses to choose from depending on your choice of style. Overall an amazing experience and highly recommended.
