Refuge Long Beach

You fed me when I was hungry. You clothed me when I was cold. You gave me rest when I was weak and weary. You welcomed me when I felt ashamed and unworthy. Refuge Long Beach has always opened the door when I have knocked. You have been the greatest witness to God the father and to his son Jesus Christ. I recently found the Through the Word app and I’m so impressed with it! It’s helping my Bible study immensely! Pastor Kris clearly has a vast understanding and wisdom about God’s Word. If I’m ever nearby I will certainly attend this church to hear solid preaching and shake the hand of a brilliant man of God!

Great church, that's about expanding God's kingdom, rather than Empire building. Very friendly, welcoming, an emphasis on training up leaders to go out start churches in various areas. They minister to homeless, which are part of the congregation as well as those in recovery, since all of us are recovering from sin. They have Bible studies throughout the week called communities of grace, in different locations and one specifically called Refuge Recovery. They have an app called Through the word to hear different pastors teaching. I highly recommend this church to anyone looking for a new church home!
