My husband had an appointment in the optometry department. He had his eyes checked, then dilated, then rechecked, and got an excellent report. He was told to call back in six months to schedule his next appointment for January 2024.
Top notch facility. My father's doctor's listened to my concerns about the test they were performing and answered everything. They made sure my father was comfortable and no in pain. They told us they would call with the results in two weeks but got a hold of u by the end of the day.
The gross excess of Money wasted on the PRISON STYLE FENCE, and endless corraling of pedestrians throughout the campus, make it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to navigate the CONSTAnT CONSTRUCTION ZONE, as this is a TRAINING HOSPITAL, meaning that novice Trainees are doing a majority of the work and case loads. Make TIME for parking, if you arrive near 9 a.m. as it gets full, at the main parking, near then. The staff is mainly friendly and willing to do their basic efforts. The long timers, staff that been here OR IN the VA system, have a kind heart and usually will go ABOVE & BEYOND, their roles. Mostly, it's been a good place, for those who can't afford TOP LEVEL CARE. they don't offer DENTAL, UNLESS you've jumped through HOOPS AND mounds of paperwork, AND ARE 100% DISABLED. This is the better, local spot for basic care. Specialty clinics are located throughout the Southland, for a less UNWELCOMING ATMOSPHERE. THE EXTRa fencing leaves Veterans feeling they are visiting Guantanamo, instead of A Healthcare facility. I do hope they quit wasting money on "covid scare tactics' and treat veterans more like HUMANS, INSTEAD of mindless cattle. it breaks my heart, as my health has DRASTICALLY DECLINED, WITH the recent EXCESS DIFFICULTY, in simply navigating the maze of walking paths. it is NO LONGER A SAFE CAMPUS TO walk, as the dead ends and randomly locked doors are a definite emergency/fire hazard.
Had my hearing aids serviced today and had exceptional experience. All my problems were solved and audio techs were extremely helpful. New solutions were introduced and I can tell immediately that my interactions with others will improve without having to say "what" all the time.
Thank you VA audiology stall.
