This park is in a great location and is quite large. It is also very family friendly and has nice play structures, making it a great place for birthday parties, picnics, reunions and whatnot (I have not had any of these here so I would double check if there are any permits/notices that are needed in advance). I enjoy walking my dog, going for a jog, or riding my bike around the park.
Such a beautiful place to be immersed in nature.
Great trail options so u can opt for shorter or longer walks if you are with people(or kids or elderly) that need smaller distances.
I can't believe that was my first time. It's one of those hidden gems that not many people even know about. But it's a definite "must do" if you need some nature therapy!
Will definitely be back and packing some water so i can roam in there more hours. Turtles, ducks, birds, squirrels, lizards, trees, water.. yes please!????
My boys love it here, I enjoy seen them running, playing around with old and new friends. It's so funny when they see a squirrel and all of them chase it up the trees. I never seen one get caught. The squirrels are slick mess and tease them. Got them the season pass so that they can enjoy the park all year round.
Long Beach has a great park here. Dog park, glider field, fishing, jogging trails,Olympic class archery, open areas to picnic, wild life, paddle boats, trains multiple playgrounds and reserve a spot for reunions or Birthday Parties. Bird watch or bike ride this place is a great getaway from the rat race. Criss the street and there is a nature center with even quieter trails and exhibits. Animal shelter next door may have your next family member waiting for you. First class facility. Glad I live nearby. Pics to follow.
This park is a gem! I love being able to transport myself out of the city and into nature in just a few steps. My boyfriend has fond memories of fishing with his grandfather here, and it fills my heart to know we have raised our little girl here, as well. The nature center and trails are well kept and peaceful, and the play equipment and picnic areas are also very well kept. There are plenty of restrooms, and water bottle refilling stations/fountains. We are so lucky to have it so close to home.
