I have been a patient of Dr. Wooten for a few years now and cannot say enough positive things about him and his staff without sounding like ohana (family). I actually do feel like ohana when I visit Dr. Wooten. Whether it is my right knee, my lower back, or shoulder he is always professional, caring, friendly, and seems to know exactly what will help make me feel better. I travel frequently so I am not able to visit the doc as often as I would like, but he also help by giving me specific exercises I can do while on the road to help alleviate the pain and make flying or driving bearable. He also provides guidance to the masseur to provide additional relief. After a therapeutic massage, I feel even better physically and definitely more relaxed.

I went to see Dr. Mike after my brother recommended him. After hearing rave reviews, I went to see Dr. Mike for a shoulder problem I have had for a while. I re-injured it playing basketball, and the pain was getting worse and worse with each passing week. When I started getting weakness in my arm I decided it was time to go see a doctor. I was amazed at how Dr. Mike seemed to know exactly what was wrong with my shoulder after just a few minutes talking to him. He would say, "Does it hurt when you do this?" YES! "Does it hurt when you do that?" YES! "But you can do this with no problem, right?" YES! I definitely didn't want surgery, but the Doc said that it was a possibility, and if that time came, we would evaluate it and he'd recommend a great orthopedic surgeon. Well, after three months of treatment and home/gym exercises that Dr. Wooten prescribed, I'm pain free and able to play sports without giving my shoulder a second thought. I do still go in every so often to get the Kinesio Tape to my shoulder since I can't seem to get it right when I do it myself. Incredible work. I'm highly satisfied and have referred two of my sisters to see Dr. Mike whenever they are in town.

Wow! This is what chiropractic is supposed to be. I started seeing Dr. Wooten after having numbness and tingling in my arms for years. It finally started turning into pain all the way to my hands. I have a background in body building and athletic training, and the chiropractors I saw prior to seeing Dr. Wooten didn't really help, and they didn't seem to understand the importance of maintaining my activity level. "Quit body building for at least a year" was the recommendation they all seemed to agree upon. Dr. Wooten didn't quite see it that way. He encouraged me to continue training, but with specific modifications he designed for my condition. After meeting me at my gym and evaluating my workout, he devised a course of treatment that included not only chiropractic adjustments, but all kinds of treatment to correct my postural imbalances and muscular imbalances - something that as a body builder, I thought I was acutely aware of. Dr. Wooten pointed out several compensatory reactions my body was having to my training, and recommended the exercises to get my body and muscles to work in a "kinematic chain." Boy, was that the difference! Not only did the pain disappear, but my performance increased as well. I was so incredibly impressed with Dr. Wooten and his physical therapy and massage staff that I asked to become part of his team to help him with his patient and athlete rehab. Not only have I basically been cured after years of pain and ineffective treatment, but I've learned a great deal through Dr. Wooten's teachings. Thanks Dr. Wooten and the staff and The Belmont Health Center.
