Great classic diner spot to get a hearty breakfast with the most incredible service. This diner changed hands after the previously named 101 Cafe shut down during Covid. The new ownership retained the diners classic retro interior while making improvements to virtually everything on the menu. The toast was with a thick crusty bread and delicious raspberry jam (not your typical white toast and smuckers packet here). The pancakes had real maple syrup, eggs were cooked perfectly and the lattes were on point.

To top of off our waitress, Sally, was so incredibly helpful and kind. I got a stain on my shirt and unprovoked, she got me a napkin and soda water to help get it out. She was also very attentive and kind. It was the cherry on top to our visit.

Yes, it is a tad expensive for a diner, but par for the course for la dining. Also, unlike other restaurants, you get what you pay for in quality of food and service. This will be our new go-to spot for breakfast in Hollywood.

Not a breakfast person, but this place is the bomb! I’ve been a few times now, and never really waited too long. Even if you do wait trust me the food is worth it. I usually get the chicken and waffles. They’re not like those chicken and waffles. There’s something truly special. The season they use for the chicken is Kickin. The waffles fluffy buttery and just full of goodness. Every time I’ve been there the service has been fabulous. Very engaging. I went with my family multiple times and they’ve never complained. From the regular diner breakfast, to their burger, and the Benedict all of it delicious. They also make homemade sourdough bread there which you can buy. Check them out you won’t regret it!

Perfect for a breakfast diner experience.
Historical Hollywood classic diner, it has been taken over by Clark Street bakery, giving it a twist of modernity and a delicious selection of baked goods.
    Would definitely recommend.

Historic diner serving pitch-perfect, elevated takes on diner classics. I wanted to order everything on the menu. Loved everything we tried and will be back to tackle lunch items like the delicious-looking patty melt, tuna melt and pastries/cakes!

We originally found 101 Coffee Shop on Google trying to find a good diner, and we were led to “Clarks Street Diner.” I was greatly confused at first because all of the photos of 101 looked like we were in the right place, but the menu and signage indicated something else. So I asked the waiter, and he informed me that 101 is no longer but it’s under new ownership as Clark’s. The coffee is legit, and strong unlike most diners I’ve frequented. It tasted great, life a real cup of coffee.

My partner had the corned beef hash with sunny side up eggs. I went for the Diner Breakfast - some of the most delicious, buttery scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and hash browns I’ve ever had. Let’s talk about these hash browns, because they deserve special recognition. You know how sometimes you can have really crispy hash browns, like you can pick it up and eat it? Or, you may have the shredded ones that are soft and requires a fork? Somehow they made magic at Clarks and created a hash brown that could be both.

The place was very clean, inside the Adler Hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It has an old school diner feel with retro style decor and furnishings. I’d definitely re-visit if I was ever to be in that area of the Country again.
