El Guanaco Restaurant

I was visiting LA and met with a friend I hadn't seen for almost ten years. The staff was very friendly. My friend and I sat and chatted for hours, and no one tried to kick us out. I appreciate the level of hospitality. The food was excellent! I don't eat meat, and the server helped me pick a few items that accommodate my food preference. I highly recommend this place. My only suggestion is to get a card reader that allows you to add a tip. We didn't have any cash. I felt horrible not leaving a tip. So we went down the street to an ATM and pulled some money. (Or just remember to bring cash to tip your servers.)

Take out is excellent but give them time to prepare meal as they're always busy. Decent pupusas, I cannot speak for the rest of the menu.

Great fried chicken, home made tortillas warm still, delicious fried yucca. We felt as if grandma had cooked a great meal just for us. This is the real deal.
