UOVO | Mid-Wilshire

Only one server the night we went, so that sucked. Easy parking after 7 pm when the street restrictions ended for the evening, major plus for the mid Wilshire location.

Food was as expected, came very quickly once we ordered and was delicious.

We really enjoy the ravioli! Our table ordered 4 servings for 6 people. Plus several of the popular pastas on the menu. You can’t really go wrong if you are a connoisseur of pasta, just assess the ingredients and pick your favorites.

Very glad to find this place! We ordered Brodo, Bolognese and Amatriciana. All good especially Brodo. The broth is divine! Pricing is excellent and it has a rare NO TIP policy.

Amazing pasta place and the yellowtail crudo was wonderful as well. They really showcase the pasta noodles here. Having claimed that they are handmade from Italy and shipped overnight, it did not disappoint. Noodles were seasoned well and cooked perfectly al dente just the way I like it. Added bonus are the friendly and very attentive wait staff.

Ambience
Bar seating, small booths and two seaters but overall clean and well run.

Dishes selected CHEESE & TRUFFLE tasting menu but will probably get Tagliatelle in truffle sauce next time and not the tasing menu. Overall, majority of the pastas were a bit too salty for some reason. Great service from all staff members also!

Heard of this place and tried it out with my gf, and this place sure does not disappoint. If you're familiar with the set up of Kazu Nori, which is next door, you'll feel the familiarity in the set up and design. The staff was very kind and professional. Anyways to the good stuff. The pasta! These pastas are simple in the sense they they don't diverge much or at all from the traditional recipes, but most importantly the execution is spot on. I high recommend ordering one of the three tasting menus! I've only ordered the "Cheese & Truffle", but we'll definitely will be back to try everything on the menu. The Cheese and Truffle tasting menu comes with the following:
1)Yellowtail Crudo (appetizer)- a tasty appetizer if you're a fan of yellowtail, but the amount of olive oil was a bit much imo. Still good though.
2) My personal favorite of the tasting, the Tagliatelle in Truffle Sauce. A very delicious marriage of perfectly cooked pasta and truffles. The shave was nice and creamy and coated the pasta well, so you'd always be able to taste everything with every bite. The flavor is strong, so this can get boring after a while (if you ordered a full entree for yourself, instead of a tasting). Still my favorite though. Chef's kiss
3) Pomodoro- I'm not familiar with this pasta dish, but it's definitely tomato based. It was quite tasty and a nice contrast to the truffle pasta. My gf, hates my initial thought but to me it was like Chef Boyardee-ish but as if he actually went to study with the finest chefs in Italy and was successful and not some BS stuff we used to eat as kids because we didn't know what good food was yet haha
4) Another favorite classic Cacio e Pepe. Yum. I love the flavor and choice of the pepper.
5) Finally the Tiramisu.... Yes. Yes. Yes. You unfortunately have to share it. I'd say get your own haha worth it.
