Chatsworth Park Health Care Center

I was here this time last year for four or five weeks. And here I am again, one year later.

The majority of caregivers here are phenomenal. Everyone that has a position here is welcoming, and willing to answer any questions.

Although it’s not terribly often, it can be difficult when there is a shortage of nurses or CNA’s, which can cause a delay in getting medication. To me, as much as I hurt, it’s a small price to pay when you have such lovely people taking care of you. Hopefully they can find a way to make that a hardly ever situation.
I think it’s helpful if the patient has a good attitude. It definitely is a plus for the nurses and CNA’s to come to a happy room..

I was recently referred to Chatsworth Park Heath Care facility for my mother who was needing nursing care. I was connected with Helen Virula, the was the admissions director via my family Dr. To say that Helen helped me through what had been a very difficult time for my family is an understatement. Helen took such personal care in guiding us through so many challenging steps and things I didn’t know anything about from how to deal with Medicare and what options were available to my mom through Medi-cal. She connected me with various social workers who handled my moms case and even helped with the filling department to help us with some of the costs related to my mom’s nursing stay. ultimately, Chatsworth Park helped my mom rehab and get transferred to a board and care facility so she could be reunited with my dad, and Helen helped to facilitate that transfer and get my parents back together on my dad’s 75th birthday. There are not a lot of people in the world like Helen, but I’m very grateful for what she has done for me and my family. You can tell she is really passionate about helping people and it comes through in her work. While this is a review for Chatsworth park, I would say it’s even more a review for Helen who made our experience there feel like a concierge service.

The best health care center you can find in San Fernando Valley. I was desperately looking for a good health center for my dad since the hospital was going to release him. I went to more than 5 of them but they were very similar to horror movies. Until I received a call from Andrea at Chatsworth Park Health Care Center. We were referred to them by the hospital. Andrea who helped me in admission process, was so kind, professional, honest, and respectful. She understood and felt my level of stress. She made the whole process so smooth and transparent. As soon as my dad moved to the facility by ambulance, staff greated him and checking on him every couple of minutes to make sure he was comfortable. Then I received a phone call from Farzaneh from Social Services. She explained the whole process to me in details and set up a meeting with rest if the team. All angels came to the meeting with a same goal which was taking care of my dad. Farzaneh was continously working on my dad's case all the way to the day when my dad was released from the facility.
On the floor, all staff are just angels. They are so kind to the residents, professional and respectful. I introduced the facility to my dad as a hotel since he was so stressed out because of his dementia. The staff kept my dad clean all times and were doing his laundry, changing his clothes and showering him on schedule. The nurses, specially Patrick, and physical therapists make my dad walking again, talking again, and be able to do his stuff. Their food is amazing. All three meals per day are so delicious, and is based on the menu with choices which was shared with me at the first couple of hours of admission. Sometimes they were going to the rooms and offering ice creams to the residents and their family members when it was hot outside and California was under flex alert.
I don't know how I can express my gratitude to such angels who feel huge responsibility to people, and change the people's lives. I strongly recommend this facility if you really care about your loved ones.

My mom had to come to Chatsworth Park after two back surgery's. Nurse Susan after only a few days noticed my mom was different and had to call 911. My mom went to the hospital and they found out she had gone sepsis. I dread to think of what would have happened if Susan didn't call. My mom got excellent care from the staff. She has been in a few different nursing facility's to recover from surgery and by far, hands down this is the BEST one. Aileen the Director was very approachable and always made time for me. The Physical therapist Jeffrey and Abner were amazing and had my mom back up and walking. When I walked in to visit, Oscar was at the front desk always smiling and very helpful. Daniel in housekeeping always keeping my moms room clean, Jennifer the activities director was super helpful, Genevieve, Lloyd, Patrick, and Marie who was always so kind to my mom. I thank ALL of you for helping us through a very emotional and stressful time. If she ever needs a nursing/rehab facility I will for sure choose Chatsworth Park.
